The American Institute of Chemical Engineers Brown Chapter is an undergraduate student organization that has been around for over 30 years. In engineering, success is achieved not only through academic excellence but also trhough strong teamwork and outreach to outside communities. Our mission is to create opportunities where chemical and biochemical engineering students can learn these skill sets by interacting with each other and with instructors and professors outside of the classroom; with alumni and professionals in the industry; and with bigger communities such as the university and public schools in Rhode Island. Our events, including chapter meetings, alumni panels, industry trips, and conference trips, are designed to facilitate these learning experiences. Outreach events also allow us to utilize our chemical engineering knowledge to serve the community.
